Virtuosic vocalist, composer and pianist Maja Mannila is an impressive new voice in music today. She was born into the business and spent her childhood listening to and learning from her mother, Johanna Almark, who is a singer, violinist, composer and conductor and her father, Kaarle Mannila , who is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Maja merges aspects of different musical genres; R'n'B, Soul, Pop, Jazz and Gospel. Some of her biggest influences are Salem Al Fakir , Earth, Wind & Fire , Stevie Wonder, Pat Metheny , Beyoncé, Lalah Hathaway and Dirty Loops. With her four-octave vocal range and immensely versatile voice, Maja has enchanted audiences around Europe. She has performed with musicians such as Frank McComb, Richard Spaven and Joe Bowie (Defunkt). 

Maja Mannila strives towards an international career both with her trio and as a solo artist. Some of her soloist performances have been with Sointi Jazz Orchestra in 2021 and Kaunas Big Band in 2023, both of which she arranged her own music for.

Maja Mannila trio consists of Maja on vocals and keys, Severi Sorjonen on drums and Johannes Granroth on bass. Maja also plays keyboards and sings in Granroth's jazz-fusion band PEELA .

Maja Mannila has released two albums of original music independently together with her trio; the debut album "Up & Down" in 2022 and the second one "Seasons" in 2023.
